Introduction

This creates a common misunderstanding in UAP discussions. Viewers often assume that movement across a video frame directly represents the object’s true speed. In reality, without knowing the object’s distance, the same visual track could represent:
- A nearby object moving quickly.
- A distant object moving slowly.

In practical terms, an object that appears to accelerate from a standstill to extraordinary speed may simply be crossing a particular geometric threshold relative to a moving aircraft, creating an illusion of sudden motion rather than a real change in velocity.

Why This Matters for Assessing Extraordinary Claims
