One of the most important credibility tests around Luis Elizondo is not whether unidentified objects exist, but how official institutions describe them after years of review. The striking feature of recent US government reporting is not outright dismissal. It is methodological caution.
NASA’s 2023 independent UAP study, ODNI’s annual UAP reporting, and AARO’s historical reviews all start from a similar premise: unidentified observations are real and sometimes worthy of investigation. However, they argue that unexplained cases should not automatically be interpreted as evidence of alien technology.
This distinction is often lost in public debate. Supporters of disclosure sometimes focus on the existence of unresolved reports, while sceptics focus on the lack of proof for extraordinary explanations. The main problem was evidence quality
The NASA report’s most important contribution to the sceptical side of the debate was its emphasis on data quality rather than ideology.
